WinterSpring is here to provide grief support to those who have been affected by the recent wildfires in our valley. We are currently offering 1:1 peer support by phone or online (and in some cases in-person). We are also working directly with the Talent/Phoenix School District. In the coming weeks we will begin online and small in-person grief support groups that are specific to loss related to the fires. A pet loss support group will be available in the near future.

Whereas WinterSpring’s grief support is typically related to loss associated with death, we recognize that this type of traumatic loss, even when a loss of life may not have occurred, is something that falls well within our purview. We provide grief support and this is most definitely grief. Live altering, profound, deeply painful grief.

We have a profound understanding of the role that grief will play as communities begin to rebuild and heal. If you or anyone you know is in need of support, please don’t hesitate to call us at WinterSpring. We are here: 541-552-0620 (or click HERE to send us an Email)

We have prepared the following resources to help you through these challenging times:

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

WinterSpring is a small non-profit with a staff of six. We are reliant on a group of compassionate and dedicated companion volunteers and group facilitators to help us provide peer to peer grief support. With the overwhelming sense of loss our communities are now facing, it has become clear to us that we will need to grow our volunteer pool significantly in order to meet what we anticipate will be a significant need.

We are now actively recruiting and training volunteers for group facilitation and 1:1 grief companioning. At this time have a particularly urgent need for bilingual volunteers who are fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).

If you are interested in joining one of our upcoming online training sessions, please call 541-552-0620 or for more information.
